10 Best Directors to follow

[alert type=red ]People say Cinema is the most beautiful frauds there is and also cinema is the reflection of the world .[/alert]

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ouldn’t cinema become a better norm if people had the wisdom to measure every movie based on certain persistent criteria. The Audience has the naive belief of trying a movie just by judging the trailers and actors where they must be considering writers and directors. The Cinema as seen in the frames of renowned directors is a souvenir that reminds us the same doubt that has been troubling the world over an over again, is cinema an abstract art or something it is expected to be -Entertainment . Ever since it’s inception , Cinema has been divided into two categories-The Classes and The Masses. Whoever film maker has the extraordinary ability of forging and creating amazing movies that triggers the mind of both the classes and masses holds the reigns of Cinema . Here are the emperors holding the reigns , the directors to follow .

10.Clint Eastwood

Known for extra ordinary dramas like Million Dollar Baby,Changeling and Mystic River,Clint Eastwood has a reputation of making soothing yet engaging movies at the same time. He has a really professional and enigmatic way of dealing with his characters, elements and also the actors . Drama are normally subjected and expected to be boring but not in his case . It is really difficult to spot an Eastwood movie without reading the end credits cause he has a very versatile way of handling his movies, he evolves without anyone noticing also he isn’t bound to subjects but to drama genre. Imagine if he can make Bradley Cooper act what else he is entirely capable of doing . His movie Million dollar Baby won four Oscars including the best picture. We will follow this old but wise guy forever,Punk!!

9.James Cameron

Every time this guy came on board a trend was permanently and irrevocably set. With The Terminator he brought a metal torso to screen thrilling the crap out of audience. The second time he did it again with Terminator 2 The Judgement Day, but with an upgrade, a T-1000 who has a ‘mimetic poly-alloy’ that allows itself to forge into shapes and appearances of almost anything it touches and transform it’s structural parts of its anatomy into knives and other stabbing weapons. Then he brought Titanic and Avatar, get the idea? Cameron is not only a director but also an explorer , which signifies his thirst for adventure and innovation. As we know it Titanic made it big and won more about 11 or 12 Oscars.

8.Francis Ford Coppola

Godfather part 1 and 2 as we know it are one of the best or arguably “the best movies” so far and the man behind the master piece is none other than the mastermind Francis Ford Coppola. He also brought a satisfying image of Bram Stoker’s Dracula onscreen. The professional and innovative quotient in his movies is way to high , whether it’s the SFX of Godfather, screenplay and cinematography also the way the actors handled their characters. Godfather is a fictional raw, thrilling, ironical and bleeding imagery of Italian Mafia that used to flourish. For a time when happy ending was the trend Francis brought sad but yet impressively satisfying endings, loss of important characters with utmost brutality and the avenge of their deaths was portrayed in the most exhilarating way. Since Francis has made quite a few brilliant movies we rank him 8th just for Godfather .

7.Tim Burton

He’s the example of director of abstract anecdotes . According to me he made the most beautiful movie there is – The Big Fish. Tim Burton has a creepy, out witted yet acclaimed way of making his crafts not to forget Batman.Whenever this guy joined forces with Johnny Depp or any other actors of sorts something miraculous or devilish happened. Movies like Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride brought out the sensible child in ourselves , whereas movies like Sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hollow became our nightmares. He may not be well received by the critics, he also never won any Oscar but he sure as hell has a creative mind which is careless of the current movie norms. He’s the living example of existence of creepy but yet intimidating ideas existing in the world and the surprising thing is people support those ideas too.

6.Stanley Kubrick

Known for making movies really really ahead of it’s time, with very stylized graphical imagery and a overload of explicitness .His 1971 work of brilliance A clock Work Orange was rated X at the time of it’s release, it’s dark screenplay was both objectionable for showcasing ultra-violence and rapes and also praised for it’s intellect. He has a very mysterious style of making even more mysterious movies which are either unaccepted by the audience or misunderstood. He has made violent, sexually explicit, mind bending cerebral and visually exuberant movies, which signifies that versatility of his craft. He made The Shining (one of the best horror movies ever) and 2001: A Space odyssey (the most cerebral movie ever, also an inspiration for Interstellar) nothing else to say. Most of the geeks including me haven’t yet figured out the exact meaning of 2001 : A Space odyssey we made speculation but everyone also has , Kubrick himself said “The meaning lies within the audience imagination”, for a somewhat explanation visit kubrick2001

5.David Fincher

He has a habit of adapting violent and criminal novels which worked out pretty fine right? Ever since Se7en came out we knew David means business, the way he adapted the screenplay and put it on canvas was as scary as possible and then came Fight Club(which I will not talk about). He always takes the road less traveled and brings up the most mind bending and cruel movies possible. Gone Girl, Zodiac, Panic attack are the examples of his intimidating crafts and obsession for felonies. David has also taken unconventional surge of not only crime stories but also light movies like The Social Network and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The Social Network being the most motivational movies which also inspired the conceiving of our website.

4.Martin Scorsese

His awards speaks for himself. Martin is the mastermind of characters, the best characters that I know of belongs to Martin movies. Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Aviator, The Wolf Of Wall street are all evident to his ability of forging and playing with his characters. Not only characters but also the intellect is eminent in his craft. He unlike others doesn’t mind explicitness of his movies as long as they make sense and seems relative and relevant. He deals with reality, society and gangsters(he excels in that part). Like I said the nature and style of the characters we see on the screen are quite real, as real that we could connect with them or feel for them. His narrative speaks everything without bringing any cinematic cliches or twists to entertain the audience.

3.Steven Spielberg

There’s not a soul on the planet who knows cinema but doesn’t know Steven and his brilliant and remarkable works. You can call him the director of everything, I mean he has pursued every genre like war epics(Saving Private Ryan), action and VFX driven(The Jurassic Park),animation (Tintin), Drama(Lincoln, Schindler’s List), Comedy (Catch me if you can), Sci- fi(Minority Report). He is the jack of all trades and also the master of everyone. Honorary mention to his best movies( also won the Oscar for best picture ) Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan. Schindler’s List displayed the holocaust in the most excruciating way possible and Saving Private Ryan brought the experience of war in real time. The best thing about Steven is his movie’s VFX or SFX or whatever you may call it are perfect, they looks almost real there’s a scene given below which depicts the professional techniques he undertook to make his craft look real.

2.Quentin Tarantino

Before seeing his movies I was sure that a movie having just conversations can’t be entertaining . Tarantino broke that belief with flying colors. He may not have won Oscars but will be remembered for Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards. Like Martin his movies are also character driven, he’s known for extreme bluntness and explicitness in his crafts he also went on saying children older than 11 must watch his movie Kill Bill. He has extreme love for violence and his love making is eminent in his movies . From home sexual rape and blowing head in Pulp Fiction to peeled off scalps and burning theater with people inside reveals his obsession with violence. Not just violence he also has a mind for brilliant screenplay (Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained). He quoted a person who has sufficient amount of love for movies can make movies .

1.Christopher Nolan

Last time I recall the time in which I was the happiest was when I saw a Christopher Nolan movie . Nolan rightly implied in his craft “you mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger darling “. The one thing sure about Christopher Nolan is you will never ever predict his movies, except the adapted ones. He likes to play with the attention of his audience, the audience conventionally believes simple facts and truth that the world is solid but Nolan tries to take away that belief for a time. He has the most innovative and original style of making his crafts, he despises VFX, 3D and Digital imagery. He believes in making his movies look as real as possible even though their intent is to doubt your reality. He holds the reign of both the audience and critics and every movie he has made toyed with our emotions and made us astonished . He made Inception, Interstellar , The Dark Knight, Memento and The Prestige , there I rest my case.

It is said that

[alert type=blue ] ” Movies is the extraordinary art of making the loneliest person alive not feel lonely ” . [/alert] .

The time you watch movies becomes your reality and the characters within it become your companion, such is the nature of film making and direction which makes you feels so. If you know all of the above directors and have seen their works, you know movies. If you don’t know them then Google them god damn it!
