Nevertheless, they will still be irksome and it will be bane of one’s life as it will keep on popping up some kind of message or by some other troublesome deed, reminding you of its presence over and over again.

1 : Happy Birthday Joshi
This was a specimen that how perilous can a programmer be if people don’t take birthday seriously. Joshi virus popularly known as Joshua virus was developed by a software engineering of Mumbai Mavav Joshi. It displayed a message of type “Happy Birthday Joshi” and as soon as user types it, system goes back to normal although some trouble was observed while accessing files and program on write-protected diskettes. This virus originated from Indian Subcontinent and managed to spread its roots in Africa also.
2 : Happy99
This was a worm that spread to other computers through e-mails with attachment titled as Happy99.exe, as soon as user open the e-mails a dialog box appeared displaying the message of “happy new year 1999!!” along with animated fireworks on your screen.
3 : Creeper
Creeper is considered as First computer virus, created by BBN engineer Bob Thomas in the year 1971 as an experiment to give a demo of a mobile application rather than exposing your computer to any kind of vandalism. What it does was start printing a file the suddenly stop it and meanwhile it jumped to new machine and infected message displayed the message : “I’M THE CREEPER : CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!”.
4 : Stoned
Stoned virus is considered to be developed by a student of Wellington university, New Zealand. Virus transferred files from boot sector to sector on floppy disks of 5.25 inch, so files present on that sector with directory entries will be lost. Chances that your PC will be Stoned was 1 out 8 times. Affected displayed a message : “Your PC is now stoned!”
5 : I Love You
I Love You virus was a computer worm widely known as Love Letter affected millions of systems in the year 2000. It also spread through e-mails, Victims got the mails with subject line “I Love You” and an attachment “LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.txt.vbs” and when opened mails were send to all the contacts in the address book. It also deleted JPEG, MP3 and many other files from the hard disk.
