This hugely popular app attracts more than 1 million daily users and is offering amazing filters with even more interesting names like “Running in the storm”, “Light summer reading”, “Illegal beauty” and many more interesting ones, although number is quite limited (only 33 for now being). Almost all of the filters are inspired from some of the greatest painters’ styles such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Levitan, Edvard Munch.

Prisma basically relies on amalgamation of  neutral networks and Artificial intelligence to produce such great filters. It uses cloud processing and final image is produced as if it was work of famous artists mentioned above. Currently only IOS users can get their hands on this app, and announcements have been made that they will launching it for windows phone this month but android users have to wait for a little bit longer.

Developers have made the interface of the app quite user-friendly and we can upload the work of art(Image with Filters) directly to various social media platforms.

Prisma co-founder, Alexey Moiseenkov quoted during an interview :

“It’s not similar to the Instagram filter where you just layer over … We draw something like a real artist would.”

App was launched in June but has become popular in few last weeks as photos redesigned using Prisma filters are all over the internet, let it be Facebook, Twitter or any social media platform. The app was originally developed by four-member team based in moscow.

Let’s wait and watch whether Prisma is able to make it really big that it gets offer form Facebook or some other giant such as Google.
