[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]rom flash sales to cheap smartphones, Xiaomi never left any stone unturned for the ascension of marketing. Apart from all the competition in the market like Moto G, Asus Zenfone, Samsung Galaxy variants; Mi series of Xiaomi survived against all odds. The China based company overtook Samsung to become top smartphone vendor in China in Q2 2014. By the looks of it, it seemed Xiaomi is as done as Asus, Motorola and various other companies in terms of novelty and modernization. But as of now seemingly Xiaomi has some state-of-the-art products in store for us.

Ninebot, a Xiaomi portfolio company is responsible for the much talked about, Self-Balancing scooters. Ninebot mini, is a handless, two wheeler, battery-powered electric vehicle that uses leg gestures to predict the turns and surges of the passenger. Priced at approximately Rs. 20,500, this scooter has a weight of about 12.5Kgs because of its aerospace-grade magnesium alloy infrastructure. Xiaomi claims that the battery that powers the vehicle can run up to 22 Km on a single charge, and climb an inclination of about 15 degrees. The Maximum speed of Ninebot is 16 Km/hr that can also be controlled by smartphones. Mi TV 3

Its’s a 60-inch box that comes in two parts, the display (LG made True 4K display at the front, with colour gamut of NTSC 85% and MEMC motion compression) and the speaker box. Speaker Box is more important part than the display itself. Conventionally, most of the TV had their logic boards inside the TV body, this is where Mi TV 3 has a trump card, by shifting all of its important snippets into the speaker box, leaving the TV to remain just another monitor. The display is connected to the speaker box along with other optional peripherals, resulting the display to become thinner (11.6mm at thinnest point and 36.7mm at thickest point), also cheaper and easy to repair as you won’t have to repair the whole giant TV rather than the speaker box.

The speaker box holds all the ports together. The main logic board is within the speaker box body, along with two 2.5-inch woofers and single dome tweeter on each channel. The box also shelters  HDMI inputs (1.4 or 2.0 is unconfirmed ), USB 3.0 + USB 2.0 ports, VGA input, Ethernet, AV in, RF in, and subwoofer out. The system runs on Android 5.1 but uses Xiaomi’s custom UI instead of Android TV.

It is the same above mentioned speaker box of Mi TV, but it’s an independent gadget because of its revolutionary feature. Apart from handling the logical processing, it can turn any conventional display like LCDs, LEDs, and Projectors etc. into a smart TV. To counter heavy duty 4K video and images rendering, the Board comes with MStar 6A928 flagship 4K TV processor powered by Quad-Core 1.4GHz Cortex-A17 chipset with 2 GB DDR3 RAM.
