[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hatsApp Beta recently launched voice calling feature for Windows Phone(VOIP) released via another periodic update introduced this week. Earlier this week WhatsApp (Private Beta) was updated to version (2.12.20) with a new feature which allows the users to send MP3 file to their contacts and it has also brought read receipt toggle.
A new build update last night brought up the calling functionality and is reportedly being rolled out to the testing channels.Once updated you will be able to use version (2.12.38) with the highly anticipated voice calling feature. Which is a good news for WhatsApp user owning a Windows Phone. Looks like WhatsApp development team is back with full wag. If everything goes well with beta testing it will take no time for WhatsApp to launch the feature for all the users soon, we hope they do so .
(Note) Those who are not on the beta testing program will have to be patient and wait for few more weeks to successfully own these services on their Windows PhoneWell the question is, how is it?
According to beta users the audio quality is splendid, comparatively much better than expected from the 1st build of a new service. It’s quite fast to establish connection with another user and it requires your WhatsApp number for identification.
The WhatsApp voice call feature was first launched for droids on 2nd April this year and which was found to be a big hit and was pparantly appreciated by the users, well the good news here is that Windows Phone users are not far behind android, who are the only one’s obligated to receive ‘updates’.
Currently there’s no word when these significant features(Whatsapp calling for windows phone)will be rolled out for public use. When everything will be said and done, the Windows Phone users might finally have the privilege of this feature.
