Nissan launches Car with ProPilot mode

[dropcap size=small]G[/dropcap]lobal automaker Nissan Motors has announced a new fleet of cars with various semi-autonomous functions stressing the point that unlike their adversaries they are not trying to replace drivers but on the other hand trying to provide them with driving-assistant which can be of very helpful in certain circumstances.

All round the globe efforts are going to develop full-autonomous cars, although till now carmakers have not been able to fulfill the expectations when it comes to security as just a few day back we witnessed a fatal crash which took place when autopilot of his Tesla automobile Model S was operational.

How Propilot really works?

Nissan’s latest launch, Serena minivan will come equipped with ProPilot Technology, which can come in handy when we are driving in a single-lane. It will take control of steering, acceleration, and braking in traffic and driver can be switch to manual mode as per their convenience. Propilot will be able to detect track-lane on highways and it will stay in the middle of lane and avoid all the obstructions that come in the way.

Nissan’s new Serena minivan will come equipped with semi-autonomous driving technology when it hits the Japanese market next month, as the automaker pushes to introduce cars by 2020 that are capable of navigating city streets without drivers having to be in control.

Nissan along with French auto-maker Renault is planning to develop a fleet of more than 10 vehicles with self-driving features in coming four years. There is one more name in this partnership, Mobileye, who will be providing cameras that will be equipped with advanced sensor technologies for navigating roads.
