Why Avengers : Age Of Ultron kinda sucks

2.5

The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has yet another lousy offering. With stories consistently deviating back and forth from the comics, Marvel has been able to muster an immense fan following even with their naive and childish anecdote, one of which released recently. Let’s be honest, this movie felt like a liability, an obligation or a part which you have to check in your ‘To Do’ list.

Here’s our take on the very few reasons why Avengers: Age Of Ultron was so immature and made only for the sake of a sequel.

  • Contribution in the MCU:

Apart from introducing an awesome character Vision, the contribution of Avengers: Age of Ultron to the MCU begins and ends right there. Characters like Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver were underrated and were given the least screen space. No development in characters takes place; suits are the only things that are upgraded. Background stories of Barton and Natasha might just level up the spirit and conscience of those characters but don’t indicate what’s to become of them.

  • The over-rated Antagonist:

Ultron is an AI villain created accidentally created by two geniuses Dr. Banner and Tony Stark while trying to build something like a counter measure which will be later adapted by Iron Legion to protect Earth from Alien Invasions. I’ll be frank, Ultron has nothing but cheesy one liners, lousy ideology and desperate masquerades to look intimidating. Even Scarlett Witch causes greater chaos than him but the director never allowed this character enough room to breathe. Ultron is just another puny villain who doesn’t has a long way to go like Loki

  • The Humor and Adrenaline:

Coming to VFX, it was better than its predecessor but the actions were kinda all over the place and very less exhilarating. Too many actions and explosions happen in a single frame that it becomes impossible to concentrate on one and eventually it becomes displeasing to the eyes. Apart from the fight between Hulk and Hulkbuster the actions fail, unlike The Avengers which didn’t let the audience catch their breath. The humor quotient is like ice cream on a glass of scotch, unnecessary and spoiler, the humor might amuse children considering it can still be called as humor. There’s absolutely no grandeur and epic in the scale of action and humor.

Age of Ultron did’t had scenes which were even remotely close to :

  • The suck up aspects

The gigantic sized disappointment in this already disappointing movie was the background score. The worst part of it is that it seizes to exist in interesting sequences. Even if it does, it sounds like something playing on the jukebox of the 80’s, the screenplay and script needs a medal for existing as it anyway slaughtered the comic background of the whole Avengers and possibly the Marvel’s cinematic celluloid. Nothing extra ordinary in the terms of acting is witnessed as for most of the time we see robots and cartoons. Well its an action movie and that too a Marvel one, there’s nothing much to expect for drama.
