Yu Yureka and Cyanogen Users to get Advanced Truecaller

[dropcap size=small]E[/dropcap]veryone of us has to face some unwanted calls, or unknown calls that are nothing more than a nuisance and the same implies for some contacts in our phonebook, whom we want to evade at all costs. In these tough situations, Truecaller used to come to our rescue. But, it is going to be a history very soon as Cyanogen has inked a deal with Truecaller to develop a more advanced dialer than the existing Truecaller app.

Cyanogen has been a hot potato and one of the most famed OS. It is built on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Last year in the month of December, Truecaller had more than 100 million registered users; from these number it appears that Cyanogen is using Truecaller as a weapon to surpass it’s adversary, Google’s Android OS. Truecaller has also updated its app for Windows Phone along with an eye-catching User Interface and many more features.

Cyanogen’s Truecaller integrated app will outperform Google’s standard dialer app and will be sporting many more features. It will be having a database of 1 billion contacts from all over the world with the feature of crowdsourced rating system, which provides user the freedom to mark  few of the notorious contacts as spams and when someone with that contact calls you, it will display at the top of the screen that how many people on the network have spammed the caller. It is going to be a great help to decide whether to pick an unknown call or not. You can block and spam a call without getting out of the current app you are accessing.

The deal can be seen as one of the steps of Cyanogen to win the race of most popular OS. Cyanogen and Microsoft have also come under one umbrella to design some famous Microsoft’s applications like Skype, Outlook, Bing and a few others for Cyanogen OS.

We can except an upgraded version of Truecaller from the duo, and here is video that gives us the preview of Truecaller integrated app :
